EXPERIENCE

A styled tablescape for a micro-wedding in Manzanita, Oregon

My biggest goal is to ensure this is a fun experience that makes you feel at ease. I’ll be capturing your day naturally as it unfolds with some time for prompts for certain parts of the day.

I’ll guide you with enough direction so that you feel comfortable throughout our time together. We’ll make sure you get the best images possible and you’ll also have complete freedom to be yourselves by interacting with each other, your guests, and your surroundings.

HERE’S HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER

  • STEP ONE: INQUIRE

Submit an inquiry on the site and please fill out all of the areas of the contact form so I can get to know you and how to best serve you. I’ll get back to you within 24 hours with availability for your date and to set up a call. I’ll also share my investment guide for you to review.

  • STEP TWO: GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

I’ll set up a quick video introduction call over Google Meet so we can meet and chat. We’ll go through your vision for your wedding or elopement and any details you already have planned, what matters most to you about your photography, and I’ll share a little about my process and answer any questions you have. This is a good time to make sure you feel comfortable with me since you spend a good amount of time with your photographer on your wedding day and you want someone who aligns with your personality!

  • STEP THREE: SAY “I-DO”

After we’ve created a custom collection tailored to your needs for you to review, I’ll send a contract that protects both of our interests. You’ll read over it, ask questions, we’ll make sure we’re both on the same page, and you’ll sign the contract and send in your 30% deposit to secure your date. Then I’ll send through a fun welcome gift for weddings and elopements as well as a copy of my photography planning guide.

  • STEP FOUR: PLANNING

We’ll work with your planner or together to create a timeline for your elopement or wedding day. You can send through any information to help us plan (inspiration photos, etc.) I’ll send through a questionnaire to help us plan for family photos and other photography considerations.

One month before the wedding, I’ll send through an invoice for the remainder of the cost.

  • STEP FIVE: ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

We’ll take engagement photos if you’ve opted to add those to your wedding or elopement photography collection to help get to know each other and help you feel more comfortable having your photos taken. I’ll work with you to plan all of the details, from locations to outfit guidance, any activities you want to include, and how to get into the right mindset to take photos.

  • STEP SIX: THE DAY IS HERE

It’s go time. We’ll execute your vision and have some fun! You’ll receive sneak peeks within one week of your wedding or elopement to share with friends and family while I’m editing the full gallery and your film is being developed.

  • STEP SEVEN: DELIVERY

Full galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks for elopements and weddings. I also send a package in the mail with a keepsake box with your photos on a thumb drive and select prints (digital and film). You’ll also receive information on how to back up your photos to ensure they’re protected and how to print your photographs.

 FAQs

or just things you should know!

  • I live in the metro Portland area until October when we are moving to Bend. I serve Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii to photograph you and your love. I also take on a select few weddings outside of this area per year. Inquire for details!

  • For weddings, 8 hours is usually a good amount to get some detail and getting ready photos and then capture some dancing photos as well, if you’re having a traditional wedding timeline. I offer collections up to 10 hours for one day and am available for multi-day events as well. We’ll chat to determine the right number for you, based on what you’re planning!

For elopements, my collections start at 3 hours and go to a full day. There are several factors to consider, like whether you have guests attending, time of day you want to capture photos, if you want to visit more than one location, and how long the travel time is between the locations. We’ll talk about your vision and go from there to figure out how much time is best.

  • Yes! I shoot 35mm film and vintage Polaroids in addition to capturing digital photographs. I love the nostalgic feel of film and the different vibe it provides for your gallery.

Film is included in all my wedding and elopement collections. You’ll receive scans in your digital gallery, as well as physical prints.

  • Yes! All collections I’ll share in my investment guide are starting points and completely customizable. We can tailor a custom collection to ensure you are getting what you’re envisioning with your photography coverage and add-ons.

  • I like to deliver quality vs. quantity but also want you to receive as many great photos of your session or wedding as you can. Part of my role is curating a collection of photographs into a gallery that tells the story of your wedding or session and doesn’t inundate you with dozens of photos that look exactly the same.

For a one hour couples session, you can expect to receive 100+ photos. For a four-hour elopement, this will likely be more in the 300+ range. For a larger, full-day wedding, you will receive around 800 images or more, including digital, film and vintage Polaroids.

  • I provide photos in a digital online gallery that can be shared with your friends and family members.

All of your digital photos, as well as film scans, will be included. You can order printed items directly from the gallery or download the photos in high resolution to print elsewhere. You can also download the photos in web size for sharing on the web/social.

I do not offer raw files as a part of what you receive. RAW files are large, you have to have Photoshop or Lightroom to edit them, and they are unedited. I do not deliver RAW files as a part of what you receive with your photo session or wedding. Part of what you’re getting with hiring a photographer is their editing capabilities and style, which truly makes the photos what they are!

  • Yes! Helping you select the physical way your photos will be displayed in your home and given as gifts is what I’m here to help with after we have your photographs ready to print.

The platform I use to deliver your galleries also allows you to order high-quality professional prints from a top print lab, as well as albums and other physical items. I’m also happy to design a custom photo album to be printed with your favorite images, for a small fee.

  • I shoot for redundancy which basically means that your images are recorded in the RAW format two times on two separate SD and CF Express cards simultaneously. I also shoot with two cameras at weddings and elopements, so if one camera completely fails and both cards corrupt (which is super rare!), there will be images on the other camera’s two cards. This approach also helps me get a variety of shots because I’ll keep different lenses on each camera.

I back up your photos multiple times (2 hard drives) and keep the SD and CF Express cards in a hard case in a climate-controlled and secure environment until the galleries are delivered to you. I also keep your final images on a hard drive until at least 1 year after the date of your event in case anything happens with your photos that you’ve saved.

I keep my gear extremely clean, maintained, and up-to-date to eliminate the chances of failure and regularly invest in new, high-end gear.

Any other questions? Reach out and we can chat through them!
